This is the road to the house I lived in for 3+ years in the Bridal Trails neighborhood of Bellevue, WA.
Look closely at this photo. At first you might think that this photo is of the sun shining through the trees onto the roadway. But, on second look you will notice that it is really stripes of leaves and Douglas fir needles raked into stripes across the roadway. I love stripes and decided to create some natural art in the woods for my own enjoyment and to create the illusion of sunshine, since I rarely see it where I live. Tromp d'oeil in the forest!
